Tammy Tubbs is a long-time member of our team, and has brought immense value throughout her time! Beyond her role as the Operations Manager and Office Manager, she enjoys running and cares deeply about causes that support animals. Get to know more about Tammy in her staff spotlight!
What drew you to work for MetzWood Insurance initially?
I had worked at MetzWood part-time when I was in high school and after moving back to the area was asked if I would be interested in a full-time position at the Agency. Having worked for Scott Wood previously, I had no hesitation in joining the team at MetzWood.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone shopping for different insurance policies?
Do not shop based on price! Sometimes what seems to be the best deal in the moment ends up not providing you with the protection you need.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I would like to take the Amtrak Zephyr from Chicago to San Francisco. I've always loved traveling by train and hope to do this sometime soon!
Tell us something you’re passionate about.
Don't shop, ADOPT! I'm passionate about helping animal rescues in any way that I can and about helping to spread the word that shelter and rescue dogs deserve a chance.
What causes or charities are important to you?
Everlasting Hope Animal Rescue and Columbia Greene Humane Society are both local charities that I support.
What do you like most about the area you live?
I love Upstate New York in the fall. The crisp air and beautiful foliage make for the perfect place to do lots of hiking and running in autumn.
What's something surprising your clients might not know about you?
Most people wouldn’t know that I'm a marathon runner.
