Last week, MetzWood Insurance was excited to present three local fire departments with a donation of Emergency Plug devices, a game-changing tool for emergency personnel responding to car accidents involving electric vehicles (EVs).
The Emergency Plug prevents unexpected movement by shutting off partial electricity, ensuring a safe working environment for first responders. It's easy to use and compatible with a variety of EV models. With its visual confirmation, firefighters can have peace of mind knowing the vehicle is safe to work on before proceeding with their essential and life-saving work.
We're grateful to Dave Bartlett of Kinderhook FD, Paul Rideout of Chatham FD, and Mike Layman of Mellenville FD for joining us. MetzWood is proud to make our community a safer place to live and support our first responders.
